In this gallery, we have a rather brief period of time, about four months between April and July 1997, when my wall came down and I saw myself clearly for the first time. My painting changed
radically, became almost frantic to keep up with my racing thoughts as I reindexed my perceptions of the world. I started using acrylic paint because it dries faster and I could paint more. I felt a sense of
release and ecstasy. It would prove to be short lived. Seeing clearly means seeing everything, and some things had to change. There would be fallout.. |
